From the land of the Rising Sun, where a lot of new fads come out, some becoming hugely popular all over the world, such as Nintendo Wii, and some others just fade away, comes a new one.  This is the Miteiru dake DVD, designed to meet the needs of the extremely anti-social groups in Japan, people who almost never socialize with other people and prefer to spend all their time locked up in their bedrooms.   All the DVD contains is the image of a lady doing nothing but sit and stare in stony silence at the camera with occasional blinking and occasional “ohayoo” (good morning).  It is hoped that with this video, the extremely shy Japanese man may ultimately overcome his shyness and actually practice staring back at the video and make eye contact with the passive image, and ultimately pluck up enough courage to contact the model in the video.
